Puppy Sitter Application

Thank you for your interest in supporting our raiser community as a puppy sitter!

The first step toward becoming an approved puppy sitter is completing our online application. After your application is submitted, you’ll receive an email confirming receipt along with details about the next steps. All prospective sitters are required to attend an orientation session, participate in at least one puppy class, and schedule a home check with a GDA | TLC representative.

Once you’ve completed the required steps and your application has been approved, you’ll be notified of the next sitter training session in your area. Sitters are scheduled as needs arise, and each sitter’s availability varies. We’ll work with you to ensure each sitting opportunity aligns well with your schedule and household.

Guide Dogs of America has puppy raising groups across Southern California and Southern Oregon. Some groups meet at a consistent location, while others meet at various locations throughout a region. Applicants who live outside these areas may participate through a virtual group.

Please review the different groups available and select the location that best fits where you live or where you plan to participate most often.
