Puppy Raiser Application

Thank you for your interest in raising a puppy to become a future Guide Dog or Service Dog. Before completing the application, please take a moment to review our program requirements.

The first step in becoming an approved puppy raiser is submitting an online application. Once your application has been received, you will be notified by email and provided with information about the next steps. Prospective raisers are also required to participate in an orientation session, attend a puppy meeting, and schedule a home check with a GDA | TLC representative.

After you’ve completed the required steps and your application has been approved, we’ll add you to our puppy waitlist. Most raisers receive a puppy within 2–4 weeks, though sometimes it happens even faster. We’ll stay in touch and work with you to find the timing and placement that best fits your household.
